Can you open the DL fromthe workstation if you start Outlook in Safe Mode?
Start | Run, then type "outlook /safe" (without the quotes) | OK

I have a client who's running Windows 2003 Small Business Service Pack 2
running Exchange 2003. Recently they tried to open a distrubution list
and
received a pop up windows Microsoft Office Outlook. Can't open this item.
There is not enough memory available on the Microsoft Exchange Server
computer to perform the opertation. Contact your system administrator.
I found KB 894530 on Microsofts site and it's exactly what's happening. I
requested the hotfix but when I went to install it it complained that I
had
something other then Service Pack 1 on the computer. I even tried just
doing the registry key edits that it shows on the bottom of the KB, but
the
Key doesn't even exist. We have service pack 2 and I don't want to
uninstall SP2 nor would this be acceptable just to install a hotifx.
The client can no longer open up their Distribution list, and it has a
tremendous amount of contacts in it to sit there and redo the whole thing.
When the contact is put into the distribution list it's removed from
contacts so all company names, contact name, address, email address and
phone number as well as any notes would be gone.
Has anyone successfully fixed this issue with Service Pack 2 installed?
Any
help would be appreciated. Thanks.
