Hi Dider:
It might be helpful if you could post any errors that appear in your event
logs. Event ID and Source, and a brief bit of the content of the error
where appropriate.

Hello,
I have the following problem, A SBS 2003 R2 Premium server.
De Server has 1 NIC , connected to the internet thru a router.
When starting the Server, there are always services that wont start. When
starting the services manualy they stay started.
The services are : Ras server, Isa server , Firewall.
For example here. When these services don't start do you see any events in
the logs?
When i try to do the Ras configuration i always got a error message and
dont
know what it will say.
We don't know either. Is it different every time? Can you provide a
sample?
The error message is comping up after telling te RAS to enable VPN and
give
Static ip adresses From to use for VPN.
The pop up windows that i could find more information on : %1!s! i dont
know what this mean.
The problems are there since the server has had a power failure. Maybe
that
there is a file corrupt.
When i select to configure the RAS tot the DHCP of the router (the router
is
giving the ip nrs) there are no error messages configurating the ras but
the
VPN is not working in that case. (i think something in the router)
Does this mean that your router is giving out DHCP for the network?
What are the ip settings of the nic in your SBS and router.
Is your setup wired like this:
internet - Router - Switch - SBS
|
____ Workstations.
The router and switch could be one unit.
I have already tried to reconfigure the ISA firewall but the problem is
not
gone.
How? The best way is to run the CEICW.
When sutting down the Server for a restart, it takes +- 15 min till the
restart is beginning.I have the idea that it is also take a long time.
This seems a little long. You could try stopping services first. Exchange
services are the usual culprit.
I has worked fine for more than 6 Months.
The Server is a Xeon 3000 series with 4 GB of internal memory. Mainboard
is
Intel.
4*250 GB Western Digital Sata Raid Edition Disks
The os is installed on 1 raid 1, the data on the other raid 1
Can anyone help me out.
Thanks
Didier
