Re: Group Policy Lofon Script

This is not a new installation. The computers are add and I can touch them
through server management. To be clear I can not get gprsults to show on the
server from some users but I can on their machines. Willing to try anything.
Thanks for the help.

I'm a bit stumped.. In one hand I'm thinking that the vbscript is not in
the right location on the other hand you posted that most of the users do
not have RSOP data. Is this a new installation? Did you add the computers
in the domain using the connectcomputer wizard? I'm asking questions just
to see what else I can come up with, because I'm almost out of ideas

What Operating System do the clients use? Is it Vista by any chance?

No luck...

What is also strange is if I gpresult /user I only get results for one
user.
All others have no RSOP data. So I had the user that showed results
log
of
and log on and still no success.

Just for testing purposes, can you add the script to the 'Default
Domain
Policy' GPO? Make sure you copy the script to the appropriate
directory.
Run 'gpupdate /force' on the workstation. That should work. What O/S
does
the client run?

I can see my file. Thanks for checking.

Just to make sure were are on the same page, right click on the
"logOnOff'
GPO, click 'Edit' go to 'User Configuration | Windows |
Settings>Scripts
|(Logon/Logoff) | Logon" and click on "Show Files". Can you see
your
script
in the folder that opens up? If not, copy the scrip in that
particular
directory.

I added it to the LogOnOff Group Policy Object by copying and
pasting
the
name of the VB script in window that shows when click on browse.
This
is
inside of the group Policy Object Editor under user
Configuration>Windows
Settings>Scripts (Logon/Logoff)>Properties of Logon. I then
linked
this
to
SBSUsers

Thanks for the reply and keep them coming as I really want to get
this
to
work.

(I also ran gpupdate.)

Did you create your own GPO and linked it to the SBSUsers group
or
did
you
use the Default Domain Policy? Did you add the script to the
directory
that
opens up with you click the 'Browse' button? If you stored the
script
in
a
custom location, try moving it to the location you see when you
click
the
'Browse' button. You can click the drop down and see the path
to
that
directory. Put it there and try logging on again

I have created a VB script to map network drives. I know it
works
because
if
I double click the file it adds the drives to my computer on
the
network.
I
then added it to sbsUsers LogOn from within Group Policy
Managment.
It
does
not run when I logon to local machines? Any help?
