Hi Dragan,
Thanks for your reply.
Hope you are getting well these days.
Based on my research for the IIS metabase and found the WSUS virtual
directory is running with Default application pool, please change the
following settings:
1. Open IIS console.
2. Go to Servername(local computer)\Web Sites\WSUS Administration.
3. Open WSUS Administration properties, on the Home Directory tab, select
Application pool to WsusPool. In the Application name field, remove the
name Default Application.
4. Click OK.
Based on research on the error message in the Update Services console,
please take the following steps:
Step 1: Please check if the problematic client workstations can install the
updates successfully.
Step 2: Please make a forced a detection cycle on a client. You can run the
command:
wuauclt /detectnow
Step 3: For the computer which has not registered with the Update Services,
please ensure the client was joined the domain via connectcomputer wizard.
If not, please disjoin the client from domain and then run
http://server/ConnectComputer in IE browser to rejoin it to the domain.
If the problem persists after 24 hours, please send me the following
information on problematic client workstation for deep research:
1. %windir%\WindowsUpdate.log file.
2. Please run MPSRPT_WSUS.exe that I attached in my e-mail on a client
workstation.
(1) Copy the attached MPSRPT_WSUS.EX_ to your hard drive.
(2) Rename the file from MPSRPT_WSUS.EX_ to MPSRPT_WSUS.EXE
(3) Double click to start the report creation.
(4) Please allow the report creation process to run for a few minutes as
several configuration report files will be generated.
(5) When the data collection is complete, the report files will be
compressed into a .cab file under :
%SystemRoot%\MPSReports\msus\Reports\cab
Please email the above file to me at v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and using the
email subject as 40884988-Cant install live communication server 2007 on
SBS 2003 R2.
I am looking forward to hear from you.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
