No the connection manager is only for the users of that domain who
don't have much IT background
If you use it from multiple sites...it just overwrites the previous
run as you found out
I have separate VPN connectoids to each of my SBS customers, though I
rarely use them
Thats why we SBS's have RWW
In this case they use graphics apps that are too slow with RD, so they need
access to shares so they can run their apps at home. I only want the VPN at
my site so I can verify it works before installing it on users' home PCs,
and for testing later when needed.
Using the Windows connection wizard I haven't stumbled on settings that
work, so I'll try it with the SBS connection wizard on another PC tomorrow.
Port 1723 is natted through 2 routers at the SBS end but I don't think that
should matter. The landlord has a Linksys router and the office shares his
internet connection. (*) The office has their own Sonicwall TZ180. The
ports SBS needs are natted through both routers, and the other incoming
functions work fine.
(I said sharing the ISP was not a great idea but they wanted to open a few
days after renting the space and their own connection would have taken
longer. They'll probably want their own ISP when they get settled.)
