Hi NG
This is a very weird problem on a new setup.
The network:
DSL > Netgear wireless router > netgear switch.
Added the second NIC, one NIC and the wireless go to one hub, the 2nd NIC
and the rest of the workstation sgo to the netgear switch.
NIC 1 / Wirless router - 192.168.16.1 and 2
NIC 2 192.168.44.1
Re-ran ICW after adding the second NIC, got no errors, everything looked
fine.
Tried to add the first workstation to the domain, got prompted for a
password, and after a tie out got:
Could not join the machine to the domain, the network path was not found.
I goggled the error, and all articles refer to the workstation as the
problem. I do not think this is the case since the stations are new. So I
tried to add one of the stations to the domain on my laptop, no problem!
remove and try to the new domain, no luck.
Tried adding WINS server on the SBS setup, no luck.
Went back to single card setup, no luck.
Completely removed the dns, cleared the cache, re-installed DNS, no luck.
nslookup on the client brings the correct domain name, newbury.local
The machines get their IP from the SBS dhcp server.
tried using the ComputerConnect, got no errors but the machine was not
added.
What am I looking at and how do I resolve?
TIA
