Thank you for posting Terence. The principles involved to troubleshoot the
Fax (T-9) that Larry mentioned did correct the issue and all is well. Jeff
M. did a fine job in laying out the plan so the transition would be
transparent for the end users and allow us to keep our internal domain name,
individual PC profiles and the rest.
For those interested, it was network service permission differences between
sbs2000 and sbs2003 that caused the problem with the wizard working the way
it is intended. SBS2003 needs permissions on things that the SBS2000 did
not.
For what you listed for questions. . .
1. Uninstalling and changing the IP and then running the CEICW, did fix the
network configuration issue but not the firewall configuration issue. I
tried it several ways each having a various degree of failure from 1 to all
4 items in the wizard.

Hello Craig,
Thank you for posting here. Let's also thank Cris for the input.
According to your description, I understand that you unable to run CEICW
after you do swing migration of your SBS. If I have misunderstood the
problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Fist, the swing migration is a 3rd-party non-support method. We do not
exactly known what change the migration did on your SBS. This may make the
troubleshooting time-consuming. If you cannot resolve this issue thru
general steps, you may need to contact the swing support for further
assistance.
Before we go any further, please let me know the following information so
that we can understand your situation more clearly.
1. As you mentioned, the issue will not happen after you uninstall the
ISA.
I suggest you uninstall the ISA, change the IP, run the CEICW, install the
ISA, run the CEICW. Does the CEICW run fine now?
2. Please capture screenshots on the error messages and send the pictures
to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
3. Please send follow files to my working mailbox: v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
for further investigation.
The icwlog.txt file in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small
Business Server\Support" folder.
4. Do you install any updates after you do the migration?
I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
