Re: Access Denied error when Sync offline files

So this user can log in to the local network and edit abc.doc normally, and
sync it normally. Then he goes home and works on the same doc offline, and
when he returns to the office, he gets the error message specifying abc.doc?
That's pretty strange. My initial thought was that while local he'd log in
as domain\user, and remote to localPC\user, but that doesn't make sense
either - the local account shouldn't have access to the offline files of the
domain account.

What happens if you clear the offline cache and re-sync from scratch? (On
the laptop, Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> Offline ->
Delete. Do it while connected to the network so you can re-synchronize
right after deleting the files).

Hi, Got a laptop user who gets "Offline files [\\server-01\users on
server-01] Access to 'Filename' is denied on \\server-01\filepath" errors
when syncing files that he's modified or looked at whilst off-line.

Not a problem if he modifies them on-line and other laptop users do not
suffer from this error.

I've checked NTFS, Share and Ownership settings as per the MS White Paper
"User Data and Settings Management" and all seem fine.

Any ideas????

Cheers
John
