The analyzer you previos hinted mee tells under critical issues that SBS

I'm curious about something, if you... rt. click My Computer | Properties |
General (tab), what does it say under the "System" heading?

Thanks again
Will carefully read the linked document. Because I have shatePoint
Services
SP3 installed should I first uninstall it?
As I told I just had a a case opened with MS regardins SP installatons.
Funny they didn't let me know anything like this we discuss here. The MS
engineer seemed to be very busy though.

Hi Juha,
Sorry about the link. I posted the wrong one and it seems that
Mariette's
web site is now down (I think she's moving to a new server). So, let's
use
Andy Goodman's web site for the procedure to install SBS 2003 SP1. (It
should be the same document, maybe just not as pretty).
The procedure involves installing the following in the order given in the
document. It's important to read the entire document and follow it
precisely to make sure SBS 2003 SP1 is installed properly at the end.
Windows Server 2003 SP1 (or WIndows 2003 SP2)
Exchange 2003 SP1 (or Exchange 2003 SP2)
Windows SharePoint Services SP1

Pack 2
Windows Small Business Server 2003 SP1
Procedure to Install SBS 2003 SP1
http://www.sbs-rocks.com/sbs2k3/SBS_SP1_by_the_SBS_MVPs.htm
WINDOWS 2003 SP2
While you *should* be able to substitute Windows 2003 SP2 for Windows
2003
SP1, SP2 can potentially introduce some additional network configuration
problems that need to be resolved. Therefore, I prefer to get SBS 2003
installed with Win 2003 SP1. Some have posted that starting with WIn
2003
SP2 has presented no problems with installing SBS 2003 SP1. So, it's
your
call. If your server is running OK with Windows 2003 SP2, you can keep
it
installed and just apply the rest of the required stuff for SBS 2003 SP1
upgrade.
EXCHANGE 2003 SP2
Since you have Exchange 2003 SP1 installed, you can upgrade to Exchange
2003
SP2 after you get SBS 2003 SP1 installed.

Thank you very much Merv
1. To be sure what you mean. Did you mean that I should first uninstall
Win
Server 2003 SP2? And then install Windows 2003 SP1?
2. I don't have installed Exchange 2003 SP2 but Exchange 2003 SP1 is
there.
So NOP?
3. When I have Windows successfully 2003 SP1 installed next I install
install SBS 2003 SP1?
4. I wasn't able to open your link but I will try to check it later:

Correct?

Hi
I really don't want to uninstall 2003 server SP2. I was very
difficult
to
successfully install it (had to open a case with MS support). So I
just
decided to install Exchange SP1 and it looks like it is working now.
I
will
wait several days to see if 8331 errors come back.
Should I try to Install XP SPs and SBS SP1 in this situation next?
Or
Am I
going to bad direction now?
Thanks,
Juha

You need to have SBS 2003 SP1 fully installed. While it's possible
to
install SBS 2003 SP1 with Win2003 SP2, since Windows 2003 SP2 can
introduce
some additional network configuration problems, my own preference
would
be
to uninstall Windows 2003 SP2, install Windows 2003 SP1 (and the
other
prerequisites for SBS 2003 SP1), then install SBS 2003 SP1 and make
sure
it's stable. At that point, you can upgrade to Windows 2003 SP2,
if
necessary.
You can substitute Exchange 2003 SP2 for SP1 in the upgrade
