Re: Sharepoint service 3.0 and companyweb

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

We are not talking about SharePoint 3.0. We try to help Tom reinstall 'companyweb' after trying to upgrade it to WSS 3.0 which is not supported

Take a look at this link - says Sharepoint 3.0 does not work with companyweb.

Tom,

If the re-installation was successful and there weren't any errors in the
Event Log, the reason that the default web site is coming up might be due to
missing host headers. After finishing reinstalling is the SharePoint
database functional? Also, when you go to IIS Manager | companyweb is the IP
address setup to the IP address of the server and not (All Unassigned)? If
you click the 'Advanced' button do you see the IP address of the server at
port 80 and host header value 'companyweb'?
