short on space - C drive

Less than 900Mb left on C

Can I safely turn off shaddow copy - I think 1Gb is allocated
Until I can properly update the Server

I know the disadvantage (so do users)

How Do I do this ??
Right Click C - disable Shaddow copy ?? or is there anything more ??
Will that release the allocated space?
