In article <1195023196.391696.282210@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>,
jessi.max@xxxxxxxxx says...
Okay, I'm now ready to replace with a stronger device.
Do I just plug it in and re-run the wizard?
Any advice would be appreciated. Partcularly for one person who's old
server blew up and I had to put in a new one. Totally unable to get
their sonic wall to work, perhaps it needs a hard reset?
So am I to understand that the firewall is just that, it is not also a
router?
NO, a firewall, by default, will "route" traffic based on the "Rules"
you create.
So, what device did you get?
If you use the same IP addresses for the firewall as you did for the
Linksys, just drop it into place where the Linksys was - then you need
to setup your firewall rules to protect your network and allow your
network proper access.
