RE: Reconfiguring a Small Business Server using the Wizards.

Hi Arthur,

Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.

Since the IT consultant has made a number of modification and we don't know
exactly what he has done before, to change the SBS to use the default
settings may be more complex than expected and time consuming. Thanks for
your understating and patience.

For the users, we can move the accounts to the SBSUser OU, then run the
Change User Permission wizard to reconfigure the permissions.

For the computers, we can move the computer accounts to SBSComputers OU.

But for both Computer and Users accounts, there must be group policy
created for them. If we just remove them to another location, the older
group policy will not work and this will caused things unexpected. At this
point, you can open Group Policy Management to check the customized group
policies. You can also send the following information and I will have a
check.

Run gpresult /v >c:\gpresult.txt on both the SBS server and client
computer. Sent the gpresult.txt to v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subject:
Reconfiguring a Small Business Server using the Wizards.

For the backup, you can run the SBS Backup wizard to configure the it. To
do this:

1. Open Server Management and then click Backup.
2. Select Configure Backup and then click Next.
3. Select the location to store the backup file and click Next.
4. Select the date included in the Backup and click Next.
5. Define Backup Schedule and click Next.
6. Configure the Storage Allocation for Deleted Files and E-mail and then
click Next.
7. Click Finish.

The SBS SMTP connector can't be created by running the CEICW wizard. We
must manually create it:

1. Open Exchange Server Management.
2. Migrate to Domain(Exchange)\Connectors.
3. Right click Connectors and select New\SMTP connector.
4. Input the name: SmallBusiness SMTP connector.
5. On the General tab, select "Use DNS to route to each address space on
this connector", click Add to add the SBS server as the local brideheads
server.
6. On the Address Space, click Add and add e-mail domain: *.
7. On the Delivery Options, set the Connection time to Always Run.

For the RRAS, you can run the SBS CEICW wizard and Configure Remote Access
wizard, this will reconfigure RRAS.

Note: Please make a backup before you take the following steps.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
