Thanks Larry. I will double check these configurations on our Sonic Wall.
Thanks for the headed up and I will keep you posted.

Hi Ron:

No indication from you that you have or do not have a router/firewall between your inet and your sbs. If you do, you need to open the ports on the router and forward them to the nic in your sbs.

Even though the CEICW says it will open the ports on the router, you need to check it yourself.

Secondly, possible, but not probable, that either your isp or your router will not allow the necessary trafic for RWW.

MS CSS approaches all such problems with "Please run the CEICW carefully". Since this is working on the LAN, and not the WAN, I suspect the router or the ISP.
. Incoming ports that should NOT be open
21 - FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
80 - HTTP (Internal Website)
23 - Telnet
3389- Not necessary, only needed inside the LAN. 3389 redirects to 4125

. Incoming ports that SHOULD be open
25 - SMTP (Mail)
443 - HTTPS (SSL for Outlook Web Access - OWA)
444 - (CompanyWeb Intranet via Sharepoint)
1723 - VPN (PPTP) - Only if you are using VPN
4125 - Remote Web Workplace (RWW) so clients can connect to their internal
client machines from outside the building via \Remote

I knew something was not working correctly.

Ran the CEICW and opened tose ports earlier today, but still no
RWW via external access. It works perfectly fine interanally.

Is there anything else that I am missing here? I can't think of any reason
this is not working and the configurations I have followed should be working.

Thanks,
Ron

Yes, RWW is possible with one NIC. Just run CEICW and make sure you that 'Remote Web Workspace' is enabled under 'Web Services Configuration'. Also make sure that ports 443 and 4125 are open on the firewall and forwarded to the server.

Hi Group,

I have a customer who has a sbs 2003 with one NIC.
Is it still possible to configure RWW for External connections
to the RWW to manage servers, workstations and access the
companyweb? If this possible, would someone point me in the
right direction.

Many Thanks,
Ron
