smtp virtual server questions

in my smtp virtual server relay restrictions, i have "only the list
below" and that is the server's ip address. plus allow authenticated
computers. however, on the authentication tab, anonymous, basic and
integrated are checked. Is this where the problem is? shouldn't
anonymous be unchecked? or should it be checked?
