Hi Marina
Do you have your ISP DNS numbers in the tab Forwarders of the DNS server?
And is the General tab set to only listen to the internal server IP?
Yes to both. General tab in my case is Interfaces.
Do you have set anything in the properties of the Default Virtual SMTP
Server, last tab, last button Advanced, DNS? If yes, delete those entries.
No changes have been made manually. There is our company domain name under
'Fully-qualified domain name' but I presume one of the wizards set that. I
let the wizard do all changes.
Are you using the POP3 connector for retrieving email?
We are using POP Beamer http://www.dataenter.co.at/products/popbeamer.htm.
This is the confusing bit as the pop server name "pop3.gotadsl.co.uk."
appearing in dns event log is only used in POPBeamer and not in exchange
itself. Not sure why DNS is picking that.
Thanks
Regards
.
