Hi Cris,
I am sorry to bother you again, but previous installations and
uninstallations have caused problems so I am hesitant to do this with with
such an important key software. We have been using the sbs 2003 PE R2
installation for 10 weeks now, and all configurations have been made. We
have had several problems with clients logging in (and sometimes joining them
to the domain on new PCs) and I thought that this client/setup/setup.exe
missing might have s.th. to do with the problems.
I ran the SBS setup from add/remove programs, and it asks me for the product
key again, and then it tells me it will reinstall components such as AD, IIS
Services and other components and tells me this will take some 30 minutes. I
am afraid to clic next as I don't want it to reinstall all this on an already
installed and configured AD and IIS Services. Can you tell me if
reinstalling all these components will erase all my previous configurations?
And where in the wizard will there be the option just to install the Client
tools again? Also, now it placed a Continue Client Setup shortcut on the
desktop and the wizard information said that if I don't finish the setup
wizard in 7 days, that the server license will expire and the server will
then turn off.
Thank you for your help and excuse my hesitation, but I cannot make a
mistake here and render the whole company out of network access. It is a bit
scary.

Hi,
I could not find SBSsetup in Add Remove Programs. Should it appear
exactly
as "SBSsetup"? Do you know another way to reinstall client tools? There
are
other client tools under the directory C:/ClientApps/wxpsp2; this folder
contains several setup.exe files and a netsetup.exe file.
Is it possible the script in the sbs logon script which I am assuming was
default in the server installation is wrong?
Your help is greatly appreciated,
Ikis

Hi,
I have been getting event error UserInit # 1000 on all my client
computers.
They are executing the SBS Users logon script bat file at startup, but
script asks to execute \\servername\Clients\Setup\setup.exe and the
clients
can't do this because they cannot find this setup.exe file; in fact, the
whole directory \Clients\Setup is missing from the server. Use sbs 2003
Premium Edition R2.
Can you please tell me how to get this setup.exe file again and whether
there are other files missing that should have been under this directory
as
well? Can I just create this directory again as any other?
Thanks in advance for help with this issue,
Ikis
