Unfortunately no, I'm not able too.
I've tried it from my laptop in my office to route accross to their server
but still the same error.
I've made sure all the exchsrv and other necessary folders have
'Authenticated Users' with correct permissions.
There is one thing however... as they have recently changed IP address it
means I had to action for the A record for server.domain-name.co.uk to point
to the new IP address. This was done 2 days ago but still isn't working, the
DNS hosts sent me a screenshot of their settings so I know it's right, it's
just taking ages! Because of this I'm using IP address to connect accross as
opposed to the hostname.domiain.co.uk
Could this be a factor?

That's quite an unusual error you have there, congratulations.
I thought it could be becuase of the SSL cert so to test, I tried it on my
laptop with the correct SSL on it... still no joy!
A standard PPTP VPN does not involve certificates. Are you able to try
the laptop on the SBS LAN itself? We need to know first whether the SBS
is set up right, and whether it's one of the usual routing problems.
I've found some KB articles for this that suggest a possible fix on the
local PC (which I have no access too as they are abroad) and as they have the
connection manager installed, they cannot alter the VPN settings much and are
not computer literate enough to create one.
The settings that an XP client will use by default are OK for PPTP, and
the SBS really ought to accept them. While exotic settings can be used
on client and server, it only complicates matters. Also, if the SBS has
non-standard settings, it ought to be able to communicate them to
clients via the manager.
No ideas there.
So, as a workaround I instruct the customer to use OWA... at first they
couldnt log in until I changed the 'Send passwords in clear text' option in
IIS (using SSL Cert's so it's not an issue). So now the users can log in
fine, but when ever they go to use OWA they get a 'Forbidden' pop up. So,
they can only read the emails and not reply.
Have you run the RRAS and CEICW wizards since the ISP change, and did
the VPN work before that?
