Hi Joel,
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
From your description, I know that you get Access Denied error: Facility:Win32. Id no: 80070005 on Exchange Message Tracking center. If that's not
right, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research, the error occurs when Exchange permissions are not
set properly. Please take the following steps to see if the problem can be
resolved.
Step 1: Check the Anonymous Logon settings on Exchange.
1. Open Exchange Server Management.
2. Go to Severs\Servername mode.
3. Right click Servername and select Properties.
4. On the Security tab, click Anonymous Logon. Ensure it has the following
permissions and no deny permissions are set here:
Create named properties in the information store Allow
Special Permissions Allow
Step 2: Check the NTSF permissions for C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr folder.
Ensure Administrators(Domain\administrators) have full control permission.
The problem may also be caused by incorrect AD permission. We need to
collect more information for deep research. Please help me collect the
following:
1. What important change did you make before the problem first occurred?
2. MPS Report
1) Visit
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_Exchange.EXE to download the file.
2) Run the MPSRPT_Exchange.EXE on the server box.
3) Wait for 10~15 minutes.
4) Open Windows explorer, navigate to %SYSTEMROOT%\MPSReports\Exchange\cab\
5) Send the .cab file directly to v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subject:
Access Denied on Exchange Message tracking center.
In addition, on SBS there is no local administrator account, we can logon
with domain administrator account.
I am looking forward to hear from you.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
