Hello Martin,

Thank you for your email.

As you know, we do not support non-English post or non-English products in
our SBS public Newsgroup, and I'm unable to analyze non-English logs for
you. I suggest you to find your local support for further investigation.

To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a
look at the web site listed below.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS

Additional, the bad POP3 email and DHCP service on SBS, I want to show you
some general suggestions:

Bad POP3 email:
Some time the POP3 mailbox receive some big email, or the email is
corrupted in the POP3 mailbox. Then, we cannot receive it thru POP3
connector or Outlook Express. Then bad email will stick in the queue, so
you unable to receive email from POP3 connector any more. At this time, you
need to logon the POP3 mailbox thru web entrance, and delete the bad email.
Then, the POP3 connector will work fine. If you do not have web entrance
for the POP3 mailbox, please contact your POP3 mailbox ISP for help.

The CEICW fail for the DHCP:
The SBS must be the only DHCP server in SBS network. You cannot run DHCP on
your firewall. Please disable DHCP on firewall and enable DHCP on SBS.
Then, run the CEICW again.

Go through the follow KB and rerun CEICW carefully.

If the issue persists, please contact your local Microsoft support for help.

Thank you for your understanding.

| Dear Terence Liu,
|
| thanks again for posting and your time to solve my issue. I did as you
said
| and set up the Outlook Express on the SBS 2003. It downloaded most of the
| mails without any error! Except for the older ones, where I received this
| error message:
|
| Nachricht (message) Nr. 79 konnte nicht abgerufen werden (could not be
| received). Konto: 'mx1.xxx-xxx.de', Server: 'mx1.xxx-xxx.de', Protokoll:
| POP3, Serverantwort: '-ERR Can't open the message file - it's gone!',
Port:
| 110, Secure (SSL): Nein, Serverfehler: 0x800CCC90, Fehlernummer:
0x800420CD
|
| The rest (approx 140 mails) was just fine.
|
| Furthermore I tried the run CEICW as you described in the first part of
your
| response but I couldnt get past number c. Click connect to the internet.
I
| always received an error message in German stating something like "The
| assistant can not confige the DHCP options - make sure DHCP server is
running
| ... etc"
|
| For your info I disabled DHCP on the SBS and started a DHCP Server on my
| firewall. Maybe this could be a problem? All client computers receive
their
| DHCP-data just fine.
|
| Thanx so far! Will post this to your email as well!
|
