RE: Acces in Sharepoint - different views in share point

Hi,

Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.

For your first question, based on my experience, that's more related to
client side. Since part of uses can see the changes, this proves the
configure in SharePoint is correct and IIS is working fine. You can try the
step as Costas suggested to see if the problem can be resolved.

1. Click Tools/ Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, click to delete history, cookie and temporary files.

For second question, my understanding is:

1. User1 has PC1. When he accesses Companyweb, the IE prompts for
credential.
2. User2 has PC2. He can visit Companyweb successfully from his machine.
3. When User2 tries to access Companyweb from PC1, that visit is failed.

If that's not right, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Please let me know the following to make the situation more clearer:

1. In step 1, when users1 input correct credential, will the logon be
successfully? If not, that's the error message?
2. In step 3, when user2 tries to logon companyweb on PC1, what is the
error when he inputs the correct credential?

Based on my research, the problem may be caused by PC1. I'd like to give
you the following suggestions:

Step 1: Check the box 'Remember my password' which
appears when users logs onto the companyweb. Then test again.

Step 2: Check the IE setting:

1. In IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Security tab.
2. Highlight the Local intranet zone.
3. Click on the Custom Level button.
4. Go all the way to the end and verify the setting for User
Authentication, Logon.
5. It should be set to Automatic logon in Intranet zone.

Step 3: The problem, the problem may be caused by corrupt user profile,
please logon PC1 with another user, will the same issue be proproduced?

We usually support one issue per thread. In this post we will mainly focus
on your first issue. If the second problem persists after you tried my
suggestions, you can also open a new thread in our newsgroup. Thanks for
your understanding.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)
