Alas, if it were that easy, I wouldn't be here :)
The SQL Server Enterprise Manager states "a connection could not be
established" and "Reason: SQL Server does not exist or acess denied."
It then tells me to right-click on "edit the SQL Server Registration
Properties" I've done that, and the properties currently state "Use
Windows authentication."
I tried selecting "Use SQL Server authentication" and entered a log-in
name & password thinking this would allow me to view the properties
page, but that didn't work so I have changed it back to windows
authentication and am still getting the error.
Perhaps the easiest thing would be to temporarily change the Admin2
name back to Administrator? See if that lets me log in, then create
your SQLAdmin user and add it to the permissions? -- But I'd rather
hear this from a voice with experience, because the one in my concience
flies blind and is what led to my original SBS server's downfall.
Seriously, I'm out of my depth and I would like to not bugger the new
system, so your guidance would be appreciated.
