As usual you're wright. One little matter though: it would take away the
most interesting part of my job. That's should be worth a few bucks, I
think.
A typical mistake.
Your job is not to be interesting, it's to get a solution installed that
works from the start with little complication.
A quality IT company/installer would give you the best ROI and then you
could learn from them (additional hours) as you need. The job should
always include the cost of basic maintenance training and understanding
the reports/logs.
You can learn after it's setup right.
