RE: Offline files, VPNs (PPTP) and Slow Link Detection

Hello Chris,
Thank you for your update.
1. Yes. If the slow link is detected, folder redirection will not be
applied, even if you logon thru VPN. However, the folder redirection policy
mean the new folder redirection policy. The old folder redirection policy
is still be there.
2. The folder redirection and the offline folder are two separate
functions. Even if the folder redirection is disable, the offline folder
will still work fine. The offline files still have a copy on client
computer.
3. For dial up VPN before logon windows in Vista system:
a. Create a VPN connection in Vista, share it to all users,
b. When the computer boot up, click CTRL+ALT+DEL
c. Click blue icon (Network logon icon) (lower-right corner)
d. Connect to VPN created in step 1.
I hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
