Hi Ari,
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup and Dave's input.
From your description, I know that you need to make the offline filessynchronize to server when the users logon and work on offline files when
they are offline. If that's not right, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Besides Dave's suggestion, I'd like to give you the following information:
To make the offline files be synchronized as soon as logon, please take the
following steps:
1. Logon the client computer.
2. Open Windows Explorer.
3. Click Tools, select Folder Options.
4. Click Offline Files tab, check the "Synchronize all offline files when
logging on" box. By default, the option is not selected.
Hope this helps.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)

<Hi,
<This may be a basic question (at least I hope it is), but I have a user
who
<typically works from a laptop and needs to have a shared folder to store
<documents/spreadsheets in. We need to give other users access to this
folder,
<and we need to have it 'synchronized' so that the users can automatically
<update it when they're on the network and work from a cached version when
<they're away.
<
<We already have desktop, my documents, and application data redirected to
<the server. How can we accomplish the above?
<
<Thanks in advance,
<Ari
