RE: multiple domains, multiple mailbox

thanks for the help thus far. Couple of problems though.
1) users in both domains currently have the same user name, ex.
bob@xxxxxxxx, bob@xxxxxxxx I don't think exchange likes this.
2) If I send emails from the sister company and I change the 'From' section
to the sister company's email address, the sent item get stored into the
wrong account.
Now I would either like to have it all into one email account, or have two
mailbox accounts opened. If I go into the advance settings of the exchange
server's email account from outlook (email accounts->exchange server->more
settings->advance tab) I can add additional mailboxes. This is great, however
the email is under the sent item of the primary mailbox account. Furthurmore
this extra mailbox doesn't show up in remote web workplace...probably because
it is an outlook setting and now saved onto the server.
An easy solution would be to add all pop3 email accounts via the 'email
accounts' within outlook. (by the way, we use POPcon to dump emails from our
outsourced email server). Then setup rules to redirect to folders made
within the mailbox. This would be great if the user is using outlook, however
the user wouldn't be able to send emails with RWW.
Is there no other simple solution of managing more than one domains within
outlook/rww using SBS R2?

Hi Subhas,.
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
Before we go further on this issue, please let me know the following to
make the situation more clearly:
1. In the sister computer, is there a additional SBS server?
2. Where does the file share exists, on the SBS of main company or sister
company?
If you have just one SBS server in the main company and you want to create
additional e-mail domain for members in the sister company domain, please
do the following:
Step 1: Create additional user accounts for users in sister company. For
example, for user account User in Main company, create additional account
named User1.
Step 2:Create recipient policy for new users.
1. Start Exchange System Manager, click Recipient Policies.
2. Right click recipient policy and then select New\ recipient policy.
3. Click E-mail Address and click OK.
4. Input name, such as Sister Company. Click Modify to select members.
5. Click E-mail Address (Policy) tab, click New\SMTP address.
6. Input address:@sistercompany.com, click OK.
7. Click Set as Primary.
8. Update the RUS services.
Step 3: Change the User1's mailbox permission.
1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and
then click "Active Directory Users and Computers".
2. On the View menu, click to select Advanced Features.
3. In the console tree, click Users.
4. In the right pane, right-click User1, and then click Properties.
5. Click the Exchange Advanced tab, and click Mailbox Rights.
6. Click Add, and then type User.
7. Click Check Names to verify the name, and then click OK.
8. Verify your account is selected, and then click to select Full Control.
9. Quit Active Directory Users and Computers.
Step 4: Open User1 mailbox on User's Outlook's machine.
1. Logon User's Outlook
2. Click File->Open->Other User's Folder.
3. Input User1 and click OK.
4. User1's data folder is open, User read these e-mails.
Step 5: If your User likes to send e-mail from user1.sistercompany.com,
please do the following:
1. Open User's outlook.
2. Create a new e-mail.
3. Fill user1.sistercompany.com in the From field. If you cannot see From,
please click View/From Field.
4. Send out e-mail.
Note: Since User has full control permission for mailbox of User1, So he
can send as user1.sistercompany.com.
Another suggestion is to use OWA. User can read his e-mail in Outlook and
read/reply User1's e-mail in OWA.
Hope this helps.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
