RE: Exchange Server

Hi Shailendra,

Thanks for your reply.

I am glad to know the problem is resolved.

For the SharePoint issue, considering this thread has a long history and
it's not related to the Exchange issue, a suggestion is open a new thread
in our newsgroup. Thanks for your understanding. You can also post the
issue description here and I will help you on this.

I'd like to make a summary for the Exchange issue here:

Problem: After installed SMTP services, Exchange didn't work and you get
EventID 340: MSExchange Transport and it is disabled.

Cause: SMTP service for Windows 2003 has been re-installed, however,
Exchange Server SMTP service extensions wasn't be restored.

Solution:

1. Download Smtpreinstall.exe file.

1) Create a folder named SP3 on your local hard disk.
2) Download the EX2KSP3_server.exe file from this page into the SP3 folder.

Service Pack 3 for Exchange 2000 Server and Exchange 2000 Server Enterprise
Edition
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/bb288480.aspx

3) In My Computer, open the SP3 folder, and then double-click
EX2KSP3_server.exe.
4) In the Unzip To Folder dialog box, enter the location of the SP3 folder.
Click the Unzip button.
5) When the self-extraction process is complete, click OK, and then click
Close.
6) You can find smtpreinstall.exe in the SP3\server\support\utils\i386\
folder.

2. Copy smtpreinstall.exe to the c:\program files\Exchsrvr\Bin folder. Run
Smtpreinstall.exe from that folder.

3. In the "Microsoft Exchange SMTP Reinstall" dialog box, click "OK" to
start the SMTP service configuration.

4. After the SMTP service is configured successfully, click "OK" to restart
the computer.

5. Please rerun the CEICW to reconfigure the Email and internet connection
configuration.

I'd like to give you more information for your reference:
