What happens if you...just for now, uninstall the FWC on the Vista machine?

Don't know what PMTU is? Was there some reason not to do the XP build as suggested and try joining?

As promised I'm reporting back on progress with this issue.
Have conducted another bare metal Vista installation and installed the WMI
provider and ISA2004 FWC for Vista. I have run the recently release SBS Best
Practices Analyser and resolved a couple of reported criticals leaving 3
warnings one of which is PMTU is enabled.

The connectcomputer issue is still apparent and manifesting itself in
exactly the same way as previously documented.

Do you or anyone have any input or more experience to offer to this problem???
