Do I understand that you want to replace the existing, built in LAN
(internal) with a new Intel Pro 1000 card?
You should search the Microsoft Knowledge base on loopback adapter.
Probably best to install that first...then disable the old nic, then
install the new adapter

I need to add an Intel PRO/1000 MT Server Adapter yo our SBS Server. This
Box
used only one Net Card. there is mo ISA only external Firewall.
I want ot use the original IP config from the old Built-in adapter to the
New card.
What is the procedure on SBS 2003 r2?
thx
