Re: Can I change Exchange server Name in SBS 2003

The 'local' DNS AD name should have _nothing_ to do with the domain Exchange
handles email for. SO, theoretically, you should be good to:

Just run the CEICW and tell it you are responsible for email to the new
domain. Job done.

I know it's late. I'll Check this in the morning. Thanks for your help. I
have a law firm that is splitting into two companies. Half get new
building,
new server, etc. No problem there. The other group keeps the existing
building and server but with a new corporate name. I know I can't change
the
domain on SBS 2003 without a complete reinstall. Can I change the local
domain name part in exchange (create a different First Storge Group or
something like that) or are pop3 email accounts on the individual Outlook
clients my only choice. I have look through postings and can't find any
info. Thanks, David
