Bios update needed for the server??

I know this is a hardware issue and not SBS, but how do I get the server to
consistently recognize my USB external hard drives as USB 2.0? When I
restart the server, they are randomly recognized as either USB 1.1 or 2.0,
and obviously the difference is huge when using these drives as backup
devices. The ports are definitely 2.0, but aren't always being recognized
as such. Is there a registry setting that could force 2.0?
