Hi Claus,

Is this what you're after ?

The process winlogon.exe has initiated the power off of computer SERVER01
on
behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Legacy API
shutdown
Reason Code: 0x80070000
Shutdown Type: power off

Regards Colin.

Hi,

One of my client's SBS 2003 (Standard, single NIC) servers regularly
shuts
itself down between 0400 and 0600 every monday morning. I have checked
the
logs and all I can find of interest is this entry:

The process winlogon.exe has initiated the power off of computer
SERVER01
on
behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Legacy API
shutdown

There is nothing running at this time - no virus scanning (Trend CSM
3.6)
,
no backup etc. Has anyone experienced anything like this and if so,
where's
the best place to start looking ?

I get a ream of Power Failed on Server01 errors from APC Powerchute and
my
first thought was a faulty power supply on site (actually, there is a
minor
power fluctuation problem but I have another server on the same floor
with
no
problems).

Any ideas ? Thanks.

Regards Colin.
