Re: HTTPS sites

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

If RDP doesn't work that means the 3389 is blocked as well.

As to testing, you can certainly do telnet tests. It depends what firewall
your client has. Some don't support loopback.

would it be likely that they have blocked port 444 outbound ? I guess
anythings possible. is there an easy way to check without going to the
firewall ?

Also discovered rdp dosent work either, but remote web workplace does
(except for sharepoint and remote access)

The reason might be that they have port 444 blocked. Generally, https
uses
443 but when you are connecting to your SharePoint site it will use port
444.

Hi Claus

I am trying to say that it all works fine from where ever i am, except
at
one of my client sites, i cannot access my https site. Now that in its
own
right is not a huge issue, as i am not there enough on a regular basis,
however i am not sure if this behaviour is a problem that will cause
grief
at
a later stage for that client. As in, will they have trouble connecting
to
other https sites ?? (At this stage, mine is the only https site that
seems
to have a problem, i have tried a couple of others)

Thanks

Can you clarify this a bit more? First, what SBS are you running
Standard/Premium, 1NIC/2NIC, ISA, router?

Are you saying that you can access OWA and your company web from any
external site but not from your LAN?

Hi All

I have an odd problem.

Basically, when try to open an https conenction to my internal
company
web,
I get a "cannot find server error".
I can open OWA fine, no problems.

Now if i go to a different site I have no problems with either OWA
of
accessing company web externally.

Any ideas on whats blocking my access to the https site on my sbs
box ?
