dfs replication

hi..

i have two servers.
server1: sbs 2003 standard R1
vpn connection
server2: server 2003 std R2

replication from server1 to server2 works without issue, but server2 to
server1 seems to have stopped working. the frs-staging folder on server2
sits with a fair amount of files in it while same folder on server1 is
empty.

The files being synced are usually less than 3 meg each and there isn't a
lot of them.

any idea of a resolution
