Re: RWW desktop connection issue

Duncan:
The box that I’m testing with has the firewall completely disabled. Both the
Windows firewall and the TrendMicro firewall

Luke:
I had run the updates on other boxes in the office that I’ve tried this with
to no avail. I now have a test box setup and have run the updates on it as
well with no luck.

Something else I wanted to mention is that I’ve tried logging into RWW as
both my user and as the domain administrator.

Hi,

You may have already tried this (I haven't seen your previous post), but run
Windows Update on the PC. A client of mine did have a very similar problem
as well and, supprisingly, Windows Update did fix the problem.

The certificate should be OK if it lets you get to OWA, RWW, etc

I have posted before regarding this problem and we weren’t able to resolve
it. It wasn’t for a lack of trying. Manfred Zhuang had an impressive list
of
things for me to try. The reason I’m reposting is I believe we are so
close
and I can’t yet justify paying Microsoft for a support call.

The error I’m receiving is “The client could not connect to the remote
computer. Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be
too busy to accept new connections. It is also possible that network
problems
are preventing your connection. Please try connecting again later. If the
problem continues to occur, contact your administrator.”

The reason that I believe we are very close is I can log into RWW and look
at the server performance report, server usage report, and monitor help
desk.
I can also access Outlook Web Access. I also can RDP to all the machines.
We
use Trend Micro as our anti-virus/firewall (which I have disabled for the
test), The Windows Firewall is also disabled.

The only thing I’m not sure about is our certificate. We have a
Certificate
Error when logging in and I don’t know if that would prevent us attaching
to
some of our workstations.

Any ideas would be helpful.
