The drives are mapped in the login script, but what I did was login and
disconnect the mapping manually, also the printer (which was setup using
the
printer share on the server.
As far as the problem is concerned:
Control Panel, User Accounts, Advanced, Manage Passwords.
Was the problem, the user had ticked the box to save the password for the
HTTPS login on his email, he remembered after I asked, and that is where
the
problem was.

Hi
After reading this post I got curious.
Warren, youre writing that you unmapped the printer and then remapped it.
You also in the same sentences writing about a drive?
Does the user have manually mapped network drives? If so did you
disconnect
them to and reconnect them again as well?

Henrik

I f I login as another user it works fine, deleting the profile is going
to
be a highly painful process, requiring hours of reinstallation, I am
not
happy with that as a first option.
That said since I unmapped the printer it seems fine, ran for a few
hours
and hen I remapped the printer and the drives, I wait to see.

What happens when you log into that laptop as the domain admin? Any
problems? If not, delete the user's profile and then have the user log
back
in and see if that fixes the issue.

I have a problem with an account that keeps locking out. About 2
weeks
ago
the user was asked to change his password, which he did. About 2
days
later
the server kept on locking him out.
Here is the setup:
Server:
Microsoft Windows [Version 5.2.3790]
Small Business Server 2003 (not R2)
Special consideration for user: does not have default email address
as
the
domain default, since he does not receive email on that address, or
send
it.
Client:
XP Professional SP2 (updated)
Logs on to the domain not local machine
Items tried so far:
- Outlook is running RPC. Have stopped the client conencting to
at
all. Even though has not run Outlook for 3 days - still getting
locked
out
- User uses Active Sync to Exchange server from Windows Mobile
device,
have
turned synchronization to manual - still getting locked out
- Disconneted all mapped drives to the server - still getting
locked
out
- Client accesses the internet via the server, not using firewall
client,
as
only uses FTP and HTTP via the client, client is still surfing only
- Client access the printer from the server, direct mapping to HP
network
printer prints, when locked out the share to the server does not
work,
have
disconnected share NOW, so no comment
- I have changed the password on the client and the server twice, no
luck
- If I leave the laptop disconnected from the network no lockout
occurs.
Then when I log into the server using the laptop all works fine, and
about
30
mins after logging in lockout occurs. (with out launching outlook)
