Hi,
Keep what you've got and uplink your switches with a simple cat5e cable. Are
you certain that the business next door has no malware on their network
before you join it to your existing network ?

Hi All,
We have a SBS network with a total of 8 users. Next door we have another
business that is has 5 users on a peer to peer network. We are looking at
migrating the users next door onto the SBS network. At the moment we have a
10 port switch on the SBS network and the business next door has a 10 port
switch also. The business next door is going to stay next door but we are
going to install network cables through the wall so that they can also
connect to the sbs network. The question is, shall I buy a bigger switch to
allow all users to connect to the same switch or use the existing ones and
cable switch next door to switch on sbs network, or even buy another small
switch, plug server into small swtich and plug existing sbs switch and
business next door switch into small swtich also.
Also, make sure that the peer-to-peer network doesn't have an existing
DHCP service (e.g. via a router or ICS). If it does, remove it, and
let SBS take on the DHCP task.
