Hi Subhas,
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
From your description, I know that some users don't have mailboxes on SBSserver, when e-mails are sent to them, the senders get NDR. You want to
route their e-mail to another mail server. If that's not right, please
don't hesitate to let me know.
Please let me know the following to make the situation more clearly:
1. How do you receive e-mail, via POP3 connector?
2. What's your e-mail domain?
3. What's the FQDN of the e-mail server?
If the internal e-mail domain name is the same as external e-mail server,
you can change the SMTP setting as Russ suggested.
If the they are not the same, for example, internal e-mail address:
user@xxxxxxxxxx, the external server FQDN is ISP.com, the undelivered
e-mail will not be routed.
Another workground is to use OWA, you can create mailboxes for these
users. After that, the user can visit their mailboxes logging OWA.
Hope this helps.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
