Yes- It's Vista.
This has been happening on XP Sp2 before.
BTW- I did use the connectcomputer to join.

Alone, this is an idication the computer account password is out of sync
with the workstation.
Is this a Vista PC by chance?
Causes can be many, fix is to go to the workstation, change back to
workgroup, then rejoin the domain. If /connectcomputer was used initially
then there's no need to repeat. User profiles and all are preserved.
Time is sync'd to the domain and matches.
