Hello Itan,
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
From your description, I know that you get the following error messageabout WSUS:
synchronization did not finish successfully. Next synchronization: Today at
10:00 PM
If that's not right, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research on this issue, please take the following steps to see
if the problem is resolved.
Step 1: Please make a clean boot to make sure the problem is not caused
third party software:
1. Click Start->Run...->type msconfig and press Enter.
2. Click Services tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services and Disable
All third party Services.
3. Click Startup tab and Disable All startup items.
4. Click OK and choose Restart.
5. After reboot, check whether the problem still occurs.
6. If there are no more problems, please use the above steps to enable
services and startup items one by one in order to figure out the root cause
of this issue.
Step 2: Please check the WSUS setting:
1. Open Microsoft Windows Server update Services in Administrative Tools.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Synchronization Options.
4. Check "Use a proxy server when synchronizing".
5. Key in your SBS Server name and port 8080 in the boxes below the
checkbox.
6. Save the changes and check whether the problem persists.
If the problem persists, help me collect the following information:
1. Do you have ISA installed?
2. Please send e-mail to me and I will give you MPSRPT_WSUS tool to collect
information.
Please send the information to v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subject:
40573354-WSUS synchronization.
I am looking forward to hear from you.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
