Is the remote VPN using an L2TP/IPSec connection or PPTP ?
In my expeariance, normal dialup networking using the VPN option
microsoft provides works well through ISA without modification. Cisco
and other VPN software need certain ports opened.

ISA firewall is installed and client pcs will just use a dialup vpn
connection to the remote server with Remote Desktop Connection to access
the
remote PC.
