Thanks for posting in our newsgroup and also for Dave's input.
Please let me know the flowing to make the situation more clearly:
1. Do all users or some specific users have such issue?
2. Do all types of attachments or some type have such issue?
3. Do user read e-mail from Internet using RPC over Http for Outlook?
4. If you visit the open same attachment from LAN, will this still be
slowly?
5. Which version of Outlook do you use?
Based on my research, please try the following steps:
Step 1: I met a similar case, the problem is resolved by closing some
instant massager program.
Please close the following application on workstation:
Microsoft Windows Live Messenger
Microsoft Office Communicator
Microsoft MSN Messenger
Microsoft Windows Messenger
Step 2: Please install the latest Outlook updates and try again.
Office 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
