(This is my second post of this I can't find the one I posted yesterday)

My question is there a way to have a backup email plan, when using SBS internally for mail? Let's say my internet service gets interrupted for an extending period or the server crashes can I have an ISP host my email rather quickly?

I have heard of backup MX Records but I don't understand how they work. For example does the mail sit on the backup mx record server until Exchange is reachable or must I setup POP accounts with someone like go Daddy.
