you may be able to retrieve it in 3 hours based on download speed but how long to upload that same file...
You would never get it done each night
I've told all my client's no when they approach it...upload bandwidth is a killer here in the US

This is kind of why I am asking for tips and strategies, e.g. software that
that works on differencing and would also work for exchange.

A lot quicker than the backup tapes that got burnt in the fire in the server
room! Realistically we could retrieve a 35GB file in about 3 hours if
needed.
