well, cleared it up... WITHOUT reloading.
Windows Authentication and Basic Authentication are required. (and the
wizard didn't set that up correctly for me anyway... personally, I
don't trust wizards, shifty characters and you never know exactly what
they all do ;-) I believe that is a disticintion between frontend
server and backend server vs SBS exchange setup. As Exchange is all
on the same server, I would guess that the System account or something
probably needs to access the mailbox store on behalf of the user so
without windows integrated auth, it wont work. It's weird, cos I have
read so many articles, some saying use only basic some saying use
basic and windows auth... and my own servers which only use basic,
but force SSL.
Well, now to back it all up, snap shot all my screens and build my own
KB for next time I have to build one of these beastys.
