RE: Missing attachments on outgoing mail sbs2003r2

Hello,

Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.

From your description, I know that the recipients can't get PDF attachment
in their e-mail. If that's not right, please don't hesitate to let me know.

When a e-mail is sent out, it passes the following locations:

Sender'SBS Server'Internet'Mail Server'Recipient

First we need to find out which Server causes this problem, SBS Server or
Mail Server? Please take the following steps to narrow down this issue:

1. In SBS network, please send a e-mail with PDF attachment to internal
user, is the attachment still missing?

2. In SBS network, please send e-mails to different domains, are the
attachments still missing?

3. Logon Hotmail, send out a e-mail with PDF attachment to destination Mail
Server, is the attachments still missing? This time, mail won't pass SBS
server. If the attachment is still missing, most of time, the problem is
caused by destination Mail Server.

4. On SBS, if you have Scan Mail or Anti Virus software installed, please
temporally disable that and try again.

5. If possible, on Recipient side, please install latest version of Acrobat
Reader and Outlook 2003, test again.

Please also send me screen shot of the problematic e-mail for further
research.

Please send the information to v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subject: Missing
attachments on outgoing mail sbs2003r2.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)
