RE: Blocking VPN remote access to a user

Hello Customer,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that you want to make some
users unable RDP to their computer remotely and only allow local login. If
I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to achieve this
goal:

Method 1:
a. Right click My Computer on the computer, select Properties.

b. Click Remote tab, select Remote Users button, please remove the user
account from the box.

d. Click OK twice to finish.

Method 2:
Another method is remove the user account from the Remote Desktop Users
group. If the user account in the group, it able to connect this computer
thru RDP.

a. Right click My Computer on the computer, select Manage.

b. Locate on Local Users and Groups -> Groups

c. Double click Remote Desktop Users, remove the user account from the list.

d. Click OK.

If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
help me collect some information for further investigation:

1. What "login" do you mean? Do you mean RDP login or VPN login or any
others?

2. What do you mean by "local/internal login"?

I hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)
