Hi Jean-Luc,
Thanks for your reply.
To find out the cause of Exmerge error and why the Mailbox can't be
mounted, we need to research your ExMerge.log and Application log. Since
our newsgroup only supports Exchange language, a suggestion is to open a
new thread in local newsgroup. Thanks for your understanding.
I'd like to give you the following article for your reference:

<Hi Robert,
<
<
<
<I found on microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs, 19.sep.2007, your answer
to
<Dave.
<
<My problem is similar :
<
< a.. The old server has to be replaced by a new one.
< b.. I could restore everything on the new hardware but as it took a lot
of
<time ( full backup+full restore = 3 days !!! )
< c.. I kept all the "names"
<
<
<Now, I have to "update" the Exchange mailboxes before the old server
crashed
<definitively, and if Dave had only 5 mailboxes, I have more than 50 to
<restore !!!
<
<
<
<I tried a first full NtBackup of Exchange only : when I tried to restore,
it
<was not accepted on the new hardware ( different id ?)
<
<I tried a second NtBackup of Exchange only, after dismounting the store :
I
<could restore but I couldn't mount it !
<
<I tried to use exmerge and I got :
<
<[09:57:11] Checking service 'Banque de messages Microsoft Exchange'
<
<[09:57:11] Checking service 'Dossiers personnels'
<
<[09:57:11] Store 'MSPST MS' was not opened.
<
<Reading the Mailbox merge Wizard document, I found the error but the
<exmerge.ini was modified for our French version, but I didn't find if the
<translated name was Ok.
<
< I gave to my login Backup operator credentials ( I am admin too)
<and operate either on the server either with remote TS.
<
<
<
<
<
<I am sure I am not far the goal, but I didn't find the right path.
<
<
<
<Could you help ?
<
<
<
<Best regards

<>
<> To restore Exchange mailbox, we can use the Recovery Storage Group. Since

<>
<> Step 1: Export each user's e-mail to pst file.
<>
<> Step 2 : Dismount the Mailbox Store.
<>
<> 1. Right-click Mailbox Store, and then click Dismount Store.
<> 2. Click Yes when you are prompted to continue.
<> 3. Right-click Mailbox Store, and then click Properties.
<> 4. Click the Database tab, and then click to select the This database

<> 5. Click OK.
<>
<> Step 3: Copy C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA\to another location for a
