Re: Cannot logoff RWW

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thanks for your reply.

The virus issue has been cleared.

The patch KB926505 has been applied a lon time ago, before all of this had
started.
I can connect using MSTSC on the local network to connect Vista to Vista.
However there is an issue with XP to Vista which I am aware of using MSTSC.

I can connect remotely via the internet (RWW) using XP to connect to the
server. Howevere the sam is not true with Vista. This seem to be a Vista
issue. I will post to a Vista site.

Hello Jack,

Thank you for your reply.

I understand that RDP on vista clients does not work. It is abnormal.

Firstly I would like to confirm do you mean Vista clients cannot connect to
all other computers by using MSTSC? Or just the server?

Please ensure following update is installed on the server.

Update for Windows Small Business Server 2003: Windows Vista and Outlook
2007 compatibility (KB 926505)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9BF2F1E4-1B2C-471B-
A284-E0C8C169FAC3&displaylang=en

If Vista cannot connect to all other computers, it should be a Vista issue.
I suggest you post the problem in Vista newsgroup. I believe the problem
can be resolved in this way more efficiently.

Since the virus issue has not been resolved, I suggest you contact
anti-virus support for further assistance. I think it is better to resolve
the virus issue first since it can also be a cause of the issue.

Thank you for your understanding.
