Hello,
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
From your description, I know that mails from your Exchange server isrejected by certain recipients. Your IP is listed on TQMcube real time
blacklists. If that's not right, please don't hesitate to let me know.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research on this issue, please take the following steps to
narrow down this issue:
Step 1: The problem may be caused by virus. If computers are infected, they
will send out SPAM automatically. Please scan the client and server
computers with Anti Virus software.
Step 2: Certain user in your domain is sending spam emails outside. To
locate the sender's e-mail address we need to collect Message Tracking log.
Step 3: Please check if your SBS is open relay.
1. From the server, click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft
Exchange, and then click System Manager.
2. On the right pane, expand Servers. Then expand your server and expand
Protocols.
3. Select and expand SMTP. Right-click Default SMTP Virtual Server, and
then click Properties. 4. Click the Access tab and click Relay.
5. Verify that the "Only the list below" option is selected. By default,
there are only 3 items listed:
IP of Internal NIC
127.0.0.1
IP of External NIC
6. If you find more IPs listed there, please remove them. Also, uncheck
Allow all computers which successfully authentication to relay, regardless
of the list above.
Please also send me Message Tracking log for further research:
Open ESM, on the General tab in the server's Properties dialog box, select
the Enable message tracking check box. After the issue is reproduced,
please wait about 15 minutes and then go to the message tracking folder and
collect the message tracking log for us.
By default, the message tracking logs locate under the folder:C:\Program
Files\Exchsrvr\servername.log
Please send the information to v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subject:
Exchange problem in SBS2k3.
I am looking forward to hear from you.
If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
